Trending on The Runway

The latest trends from the Spring/Summer 2018 runway shows around the world feature a strong grip on femininity and color. Here are some of the latest runway trends according to Vogue.

1. Polka Dots:

Floral might be your go-to spring print, but polka dots will prevail for the coming new season. So if you’re the kind of girl that associates the print with Minnie Mouse specks or 1950s-esque circle skirt dresses, it’s time to think again. The print was spotted everywhere, most notably as a monochrome colorway.

2. Animal Prints:

Animal prints are never completely out of fashion, but the updated prints coming down the runway of many of the shows were cleverly spaced to create and enforce a flattering figure. For Spring 2018, Donatella Versace engaged in a little pattern play by working leopard prints into practically everything. Miuccia Prada showed her stripes by incorporating the tiger kind in numerous outfits, including this covet-worthy coat. The beauty of animal prints is that, despite their bold background, they actually function as neutrals you can build almost any outfit around.

3. Pretty in Pink:

Hot pink is at it again. This burst of color creates the perfect seasonal transition to make your look standout. Marc Jacobs has sent pink sequins and fringe down his latest show. Even Tom Ford lit up his runway with bold silhouettes and killer pantsuits in the shade.

4. Glitter Gazer:

A frenzy of glitter has flashed through everyones look books. All types of materials have been used to step up the glitter trend. Dolce & Gabbana created an extravagant disco show of dresses and tight bodysuits made to make you stand out.
